A PRETTY OXNEAD HALL WEDDING IN NORFOLK
Tom & Kathaur had their first wedding abroad in Kenya, so this celebration in Norfolk was a giant celebration for everyone that couldn’t make the trip away with them for their first. Their Kenyan wedding they describe as absolutely exhausting (in a good way – so much food and dancing!) so their priority for their British wedding was for it to be as relaxed as possible. While these two were on their honeymoon, it was actually Toms mum Maura that found the lovely venue that is Oxnead Hall near Ayelsham, Norfolk.
They were super lucky with the weather and so were able to have their ceremony outside in the maze – it wasn’t the exact part of the gardens that they had initially set their heart on, but were really pleased with how it all came together nonetheless – doesn’t it look just idyllic? After saying their vows, accompanied by their bridal party and immediate family, they popped indoors to do the ‘legal bit’ before walking back down the aisle and celebrating with their nearest and dearest.
I’ve already said it, but everything about this wedding was just so delicate and pretty. The mismatched rosey hues of the bridesmaids dresses, the flowers (by The Flower Shed), the fairy lights hanging over the guests during the wedding breakfast and the decor of the cake… Let’s talk about the cake. This wedding was made for people with a sweet tooth – I just adore the popcorn bar, plus there was a candy bar too and the wedding cake was three different flavours; red velvet (Kauthars favourite!), chocolate and lemon. Yum. It was made by the talented Vanilla Patisserie and was just so intricately decorated.
Our beautiful bride Kauthar was dressed in a Laila Amraoui luxury caftan, whilst Tom wore a suit by George Brummell of Saville Row. A very dapper couple indeed. A giant thank you to Tom & Kauthar for choosing us as their photographers and to Katie for being my associate on the day. x
