COLOURFUL WEDDING AT THE BOATHOUSE – DANNI & KRISH
Colourful Wedding Photography – The Boathouse, Ormesby – Danni & Krish
The photo above is just one example of why The Boathouse in Ormesby (Norfolk, in case you were wondering!) is bloody spectacular. I’d never been until Danni & Krish’s big day, but from the moment I arrived I was seriously in awe of my surroundings. I felt pretty spoilt all day to be honest, it’s not at every wedding that you get to go on a boat ride across the broads just moments after the ceremony with such an awesome bride and groom..
Danni and Krish had told me when we met for their engagement shoot earlier this year, that their main focus was making the day as colourful as possible. They’re lucky enough to have not one but two weddings – one a traditional english ceremony, the other a traditional indian ceremony a few days later – so the colour focus was a way to tie both days together. Cool idea huh?
I spent the morning with Danni and her bridesmaids at her mums house in Norwich, where they adorned themselves with their mismatched, bright floral crowns and yellow bridesmaids dresses. Rich who was second shooting with me spent the morning larking about with the boys at the Raja family home. Their ceremony was next to the water under the heat of the sunshine, followed by a couples shoot on the boat which afterwards gave rides to all the guests whilst drinks were served on the jetty. These two were so much fun to spend time with, not taking it all too seriously, just enjoying their day, each other and the company of their nearest and dearest. Danni had planned and organised everything to the tiniest detail – a career as a wedding planner should definitely be considered for this lady! Thanks Mr & Mrs Raja for a bloomin’ lovely day. x
