CHAUCER BARN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER NORFOLK

I’ve known Mollie since school when she was in the year below me, so I was over the moon to hear from her, let alone to shoot her wedding. Mollie’s a stylish lady, with fashion in the family and at the time running her own creative agency, I knew this was gonna be one spectacular wedding. Chaucer Barn in Norfolk was the perfect venue choice for her and Lee.

All their friends and family stayed the night before, drinking and dining until the early hours. The next day when I turned up, everyone was helping decorate the kitchen with bunting and flowers between cups of tea in their pyjamas. Everyone was laughing, telling hilarious stories about Mollie and Lee and feeling chilled to say the least. Perfect for an alternative wedding photographer when candid smiles were aplenty and I was made to feel so welcome!

The beautiful space available at Chaucer Barn allowed for a banquet wedding breakfast in the kitchen, drinks and posh-picnic style canapes in the lounge, lawn games in the garden, not forgetting the ping pong table too (which if I remember rightly, Lee’s mates got just a little bit competitive at…). We wandered through the meadow for their couples portraits in the hazy light. It was amazing. There are just so many spaces to shoot in. I’ve worked at weddings at Chaucer a fair few times now and everytime I go back I find new spots which is so refreshing. Anyway, Mollie and Lee were a dream. I left them with their champagne glasses being topped up and a rosy glow about them both.
