Elms Barn Wedding Photography in Suffolk
If elegant, pretty styling and a relaxed day full of laughter is what you’re hoping for, look no further than Emily & Ben’s beautiful Elms Barn celebration. With gorgeous rustic florals and the beautiful backdrop of the Suffolk countryside – if you’re looking for relaxed Elms Barn Wedding Photography, you’ll find inspiration galore here.
When Emily & Ben booked me as their wedding photographer, we soon discussed how they met at a uni party in Ipswich, which we then worked out I was also at – bizarrely small world, hey?!
How they met set the precedent for their really fun but very natural, very pretty styled wedding at Elms Barn, plus their relaxed wedding photography and the celebrations alongside it. They married in a church in Worlingham (near Beccles) and had their beautiful, relaxed reception at Elms Barn on one of the hottest days I’ve shot a wedding on in some time! Emily had told me to expect pastel pinks, vintage styling and beautiful flowers and it didn’t disappoint.
Emily and Ben had moved in to their first house together just before the wedding so their Elms Barn Wedding was the final beginning in their new chapter!
Bride & Groom Prep at Elms Barn
Bridal Prep was at Stackyard Lodge and groom prep in the cottage – both just down the lane from the barn. Stackyard Lodge was jam packed with Emily’s best friends, her parents and other family popping in and out. It was all smiles and laughs, plus a good few tears when they saw Emily in her dress for the first time!
Emily’s divine dress was from Wed2B and I’m pretty certain it must have been designed with her in mind, because well, wow. Ben’s suit was from Moss Bros, flowers by the in house florist at Elms Barn, and bridesmaids dresses from Victoria Lou.
The Wedding Ceremony
When I arrived at Worlingham church, Ben was finding somewhere to fasten a go-pro to film the ceremony before hugging all his friends and family as they arrived. As Emily arrived, her gorgeous mum had tears in her eyes before giving her the biggest proud squeeze. The ceremony was super heartfelt and after being pelted with confetti, it was time for a few photos outside…
The Wedding Reception at Elms Barn
Emily, Ben and their guests then headed back for drinks and canapés surrounded by all the gorgeous roses in the garden at Elms Barn. The rest of the day followed suit with non-stop belly laughter from everyone ’til the time I left. Emily and Ben were the perfect couple, super invested in the time for their couples portraits so we spent a little longer than I normally get and it was a dream…
I’ll leave you with some of my favourite relaxed photos from their wonderful day. Thanks to Emily, Ben and their lovely family and friends for making feel so welcome – I had a blast!
