Which Wilderness Reserve Venue should you choose for your wedding?

It is true you could hold a wedding blessing at any of the beautiful Suffolk Wilderness Reserve properties. However, although all are beautiful, some lend themselves to hosting your wedding celebration more than others. The ones I’ve photographed at most are the following:

Sibton Park

Sibton Park is Wilderness Reserve’s fabulous, exclusive use Georgian Manor House. Sitting at the centre of the Sibton Park Estate it proudly overlooks the gorgeous Sibton Lake. The iconic Sibton Park Orangery can host 120 guests, although you could spill outside on to the grounds. Choose to use a marquee for even larger wedding guest numbers. The Orangery can be used for the wedding reception dance floor or for your luxury wedding drinks reception.

Holding your wedding at Sibton Park estate means you can host your wedding guests overnight. Set against the backdrop of the quintissentially British, Suffolk countryside, the Sibton Park Estate itself can host 90 of your wedding guests overnight. The additional properties are: Hex Cottage, The Walled Garden, The Clockhouse, The Farmhouse, The Cartshed and Garden Cottage, The Barn. There’s space to host up to 200 guests overnight if you take over Chapel Barn estate too.

I’ve photographed luxury weddings and joyous gatherings and events at Sibton Park many, many times after being kindly recommended by the team at Wilderness. It’s such a fabulously styled, special property and an iconic space to hold a wedding in the orangery. As seen in Vogue Weddings, the views are incredible and hard to be beaten.

Chapel Barn 

Chapel Barn, as the name suggests, sits at the centre of Wilderness Reserve’s Chapel Barn Estate. The property is sprawling and the perfect space for a wedding celebration, with its courtyard ready for post-ceremony celebratory drinks, while the beautiful stain glass window sits in the rustic, yet luxurious main barn ready to watch over your wedding meal. The huge luxurious lounge space near the pool and spa is perfect for your dance floor. Getting married here will be nothing short of incredible.

Holding your wedding at Chapel Barn Estate means your wedding guests can take advantage of the beautiful other properties on this estate. These are: The Cider House, The Tabernacle, The Grange, The Hovel and Moat Cottage. Allow your guests to extend their stay past your wedding day. Chapel Barn Estate can sleep 80 wedding guests but you can also take over the Sibton Park estate and host 200.

I’ve been lucky enough to photograph some gorgeous events and celebrations at Chapel Barn as a result of being recommended by the wonderful, dedicated team at Wilderness Reserve. My brides and grooms are spoilt for choice for iconic backdrops to have their relaxed couples portraits in and emotive candid photos during the day and evening. As with all Wilderness properties, it’s a really special space to get married and hold your wedding celebration. As a wedding photographer, Wilderness is one of my favourite venues to work at.

The Walled Garden

The Walled Garden is part of the Sibton Park Estate. It’s a super luxe, exclusive use property with the exquisitely designed gardens surrounded by gorgeous red brick walls. The Walled Garden would be stunning for an outdoor marriage and alfresco wedding reception. Outdoor dining at The Walled Garden is possible for up to a huge 200 wedding guests, which makes it the perfect venue for a relaxed, quintessentially British celebration.

I’ve photographed some gorgeous celebrations and gatherings at The Walled Garden; it’s really beautiful inside and out and lends itself to wonderfully relaxed weddings. For couples photographs there are lots of spaces within the garden grounds, plus the rest of the Wilderness Reserve parklands to explore and wander.

The luxurious property has 8 double bedrooms which would perfectly host the Bride and the bridal party the night before, allowing for use of the hot tub and cinema room for the ultimate luxury ‘night before’ the wedding.

Wilderness Reserve Wedding Guest Capacity

How many guests can Wilderness Estate hold? Well, it all depends on the property you choose! Wilderness Reserve explain they can host almost any number go wedding guests which is fabulous for those hosting huge wedding celebrations; whether you choose a property like Chapel Barn of Sibton Park Orangery or the beautiful woodland.

Overnight, Wilderness Reserve can accommodate 200 guests in the vast number of properties. Nearby in Yoxford, as well as Aldeburgh and Southwold there are an array of beautiful hotels to choose from to extend your stay in Suffolk.

How much does it cost to get married at Wilderness Reserve?

Wilderness Reserve Wedding Prices: Sibton Park Orangery

If you choose Sibton Park to hold your Wilderness Reserve wedding, the pricing is as follows:

A midweek 2 day wedding is from £30,000 – this includes the use of the entire Sibton Estate which sleeps 90. This price is for the venue and accomodation only.

A 3 day weekend wedding is from £75,000 – this is also ‘venue only’ which includes the use of sleeping 90 guests across the Sibton Estate.

If you choose to hire just Sibton Park itself rather than the entire estate, prices of course differ.

Wilderness Reserve Wedding Prices: Chapel Barn

If you choose Chapel Barn to hold your Wilderness Reserve wedding, the pricing is as follows:

A midweek 2 day wedding is from £32,600 – this includes the use of the entire Chapel Barn Estate which sleeps 80. This price is for the venue and accomodation only.

A 3 day weekend wedding is from £75,000 – this is also ‘venue only’ which includes the use of sleeping 90 guests across the Chapel Barn Estate.

If you choose to hire just Chapel Barn itself rather than the entire estate, prices of course differ.

The chefs at Wilderness Reserve are of the highest quality and skill. The Wilderness Reserve estate kitchens are dedicated to using locally sourced, organic produce and never fail to impress. I’ve been lucky enough to sample various dishes kindly offered while working at Wilderness Reserve over the years and they have always been show stopping.

Whether you choose a luxury, high-end wedding breakfast in the orangery at Sibton or even a ‘fire-feast’ in the woodland; know the service and quality of food you can expect is exceptional.

The talented rangers at Suffolk’s Wilderness Reserve can host lots of wonderfully rustic, countryside activities to entertain your wedding guests. Not just on the wedding day itself, expect activities the day before the wedding and after too! Allow your guests to get to know each other in a unique, exciting way & say farewell in style too. Think paddle board races – Bridesmaids vs Groomsmen of course – axe throwing, spoon carving, clay pigeon shooting and spa treatments.

To give you an overview, my photography style is primarily journalistic with a very relaxed, natural feel. Our approach is simply all about blending in and getting to know you all. This lends itself to you receiving a final gallery full of heart, packed with charming photographs of you celebrating with your favourite people.

On the day itself my aim is to allow things to flow along naturally and make everyone feel relaxed. I want your photography to feel easy and enjoyable. In the run-up, we can support you to create a timeline that allows you to enjoy the day & get the most from your photography too. My packages include coverage from getting ready through to the evening celebrations so no part of the story is untold. Your high-res images go onto an online gallery after the wedding. You and your guests (should you wish) can view the story of your day for 9 months. You will own the personal license to share & print your images from your gallery however you like. I also offer beautiful, timeless albums and other print products.
