RELAXED HINTLESHAM GOLF CLUB WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY – Rachel & Rhys
Hintlesham Golf Club Wedding Photography
If romantic, rustic styling, a relaxed vibe and fun, documentary photography is your thing, you’ll adore Rachel & Rhys’ wintery wedding celebration..
Rachel & Rhys had a relaxed wedding at Hintlesham Golf Club near Ipswich, Suffolk. Their entire day had a cool, vintage, pretty feel about it and they wanted their wedding photography to match. I had the honour of being their wedding photographer in January this year – it was so much fun.
Getting Ready
I met Rach, her mum and her bridesmaids at the Premier Inn near the waterfront in Ipswich where there was a lot going on – mum fixing flowers in the bathroom, make-up and hair galore and not to mention one fabulous, relaxed bride taking it all in her stride.
The Wedding
oth the bride and groom were fashionably late, but luckily there was still time for Rhys and his best men to grab a beer before the ceremony. The wedding itself was heartfelt and full of laughter from all corners of the room.
The Portraits
Boy was it a chilly day, even for January! Rachel, Rhys and their guests were all such troopers – I suggested we could do the more formal groups indoors instead to keep them warm, but they all were happy standing in the wintery breeze outside for some family photos like the newlyweds wanted.
Luckily, there was a baby on hand to take everyones mind off of the weather… wait for it…. the baby sicked up all all over the bride. One of my favourite photos of the day is the hilarious look of shock on the bridal party faces just after it happened! Rachel was amazing though – someone had come prepared with tissues, she thought it was hilarious and laughed it off so we got straight back on with the shots.
The grounds of Hintlesham are really beautiful for couples portraits – it was so easy finding spots to photograph Rachel and Rhys – I can’t wait to be back again!
The Venue
Hintlesham Golf Club is such a gorgeous venue. Very laid back, natural in style – amazing with The Newsons’ choice of greenery for their flowers and centrepieces. The staff are so friendly and helpful so from a work perspective too, it was a real joy working here.
I left Rachel and Rhys after we’d been outdoors again for their couples portraits which were bloody marvellous. I loved spending time with these two, they’re so much fun. Here’s more of what their day looked like.. x
