A NATURAL FAMILY BABY SHOOT IN IPSWICH AT HOME
You may recognise this new mama and dad from the relaxed maternity shoot I blogged a while back when little Rose was still cooking! Jen and James welcomed little Roselyn May in to the world on April 15th and they told me it’s been a wonderful whirlwind ever since!
The Hirsts wanted a natural family baby shoot in Ipswich at their home and I couldn’t wait. I loved getting to know Jen and James during their maternity shoot so was excited to have a catch up! The couple chose not to have anything too posed for their newborn photographs, just how I like it! They want to remember their first weeks with Roselyn exactly as life is… Her nursery, sleepy cuddles on the sofa, play time on the jungle mat and mesmerised by her mobile in her cot… Getting to have a cuddle with this tiny, 7 week old bundle of love was the nicest thing! It made me realise just how big Astrid is now and how quickly those months have flashed past.
We started our shoot over a cuppa and a catch up about all things baby related. I adore doing a maternity shoot and then their newborn shoot when baby arrives – it feels like you’re popping over to see old friends! Baby Rose was sleepy when I arrived, so I took the opportunity to photograph parts of her nursery, as well as her asleep in her cot. As I’m writing this, I just glanced down at the photo below and oh those cheeks and little pout!
When she woke, there was no posing, just lots of chatter, laughter and a pair of very loved up parents! Besotted with their new addition, it was super easy to photograph the three of them having cuddles around the house! I can’t wait to photograph the family over the years ahead and hear all about this little lady growing up – she’s going to be a beauty for sure. x
