A RELAXED SPROWSTON MANOR WEDDING IN NORWICH
Disha and Nikhil were lucky enough to have two weddings! An English wedding that I was lucky to photograph and later on in the year an Indian Wedding. When Disha explained they were holding it at Sprowston Manor in Norfolk, I jumped at the chance as I happened to go to school with their wedding planner extroadinaire Claire. Long time wondering what an alternative wedding at Sprowston Manor would hold, I couldn’t wait for their day to role around.
The day was crisp but it was sunny and blue filled the sky all day. It was an intimate family affair, and I was made to feel like one of the party, so lots of love to all their family for that. I met Disha in the room I met her in weeks earleir, when she showed me exactly how everything would be on the day.
Weeks on, sitting in the same seat with a nervous excitement in her eye, looking even more gorgeous than the first time we came together.
The ceremony was beautiful and there really was no dry eye in the room. It seems all said teary eyed guests expected this as out came the hankerchiefs rather promptly! The day was so relaxed, lots of drinks and canapes circulating, which allowed time for plenty of candid shots before some family portraits and bouquet throwing.
A giant family banquet followed, heartfelt speeches and in the evening, friends made their way inside too for relaxed drinks and dancing. The smell of homemade indian cuisine being served up filled the halls of Sprowston Manor as I left for the night, and I’m told the laughter and dancing did not stop for quite some time!
