AT HOME WITH ISABELLE

RELAXED CHILDREN’S PHOTOGRAPHY, SUFFOLK

The lovely Isabelle’s mum Gina had spent an age searching for natural children’s photography, Suffolk so I was super happy when she came to me. I had a blast taking relaxed photo’s in their Ipswich home of Isabelle playing with her dolls (okay, guilty, so I had to play too..), dancing around and showing me all of her favourite dresses.

With some children it can take a while of me playing with them for them to accept me as a ‘friend’ before I get out my camera, but with this little lady it took the whole of five minutes – she love, love, loved having her photograph taken and we had many breaks in which we went through all her pictures and she told me which were her favourites, love her!

Children’s photoshoots at home are my absolute favourite – not that I don’t love getting outdoors too. The thing about choosing to shoot at home is that these photographs embody real life. The real, wonderful memories of your child. Isabelle doing manic dancing across the lounge and slurping cups of super milky tea – that’s what Gina will look back on and remember her doing at this age, so why not have beautiful photographs of life just as it is hey? I know for a fact the photos that make my own heart swell are the ones that fill me with nostalgia, showing how my house looked as a child, my toys and my bedroom, and of course my wonderful family. Why not leave that legacy for your little one too and have these memories ready and waiting for them to look back upon in years to come? That’s just my two cents though…
